Sony have posted a comment that will leave a lot of Killzone fans a little disappointed.
If you were hoping to pick up a collector’s edition, you can get the idea out of your head right now because according to Sony, Guerrilla Games’ time is completely dedicated to making sure that the game is all that it can be.
Sony said the following:
“Guerrilla Games has put all of their effort into creating this masterpiece of a game, so we didn’t actively pursue a CE.â€
I find it kind of sad that there will be no Collector’s Edition for the uber fans but at the same time, I can’t say that I am against the idea of developers spending more of their time perfecting the game.
I would rather have a solid standard edition over a broken and buggy collector’s edition.

Some other Sony exclusives like Heavenly Sword and Uncharted came with all the bonus artwork, behind the scenes and making of videos for free on the disc.
Maybe they are doing the same?
Not exactly the same as a CE but thats usually the kind of non-physical stuff you receive extra in a CE.

But bare in mind how great the sales were for GeoW2 thanks to those CE bundles. If it wasnt for that, i think it wouldnt of gripped the public as much as it did in the first place.
My opion of marketing is, always give the people the illusion that they’re getting something for free with the original product to keep them happy. Not So?

i’ve only ever bought 1 ce game and was so peeved at what was bundled, that i vowed never to do it again.
so in my opinion, ce’s don’t sell games, the actually game sells itself.

thats a first. i guess most of us are still sour of getting ripped off with GeoW2. I doubt it’ll happen again
