Do you remember back in May when an ITC judge ruled that the Xbox 360 needed to be removed from shelves and banned from being sold in the United States? Well that never happened but the threat has been hanging over Microsoft since then while their legal case against Motorola has continued.
But finally that threat has been removed with a judge now ruling that the case is about how much Microsoft must pay Motorola and that a sales ban is totally out of the question.
The boring details that is dragging this case out is how valuable the Motorola patents are and whether Motorola can withhold usage rights from Microsoft while they dispute the cost.. in the end they cannot and you will be able to continue to buy an Xbox 360 until they decide to stop selling them..
