Spike TV’s annual Video Game awards are coming around again and they have now revealed all of their nominees.

The winners will be announced on December 11 and they will unfortunately not be presented with tiaras and flowers. While I seem to agree with most of the nominees, I found a few of the nominees to be a little out of place, or just plain undeserving of their spot.

  1. ME 2 definitely gets my vote for GOTY one of the best games of this generation. PS3 fans need not support this game in 2011 so that ME3 can be epic.

    ME2 is fab.

And BF BC2 deserves plenty of prizes 🙂

    No GT5…? 😉

gt still not released or reviewed, but its already won games-com game of the year and game trailers best racing game of e3 2010, so i guess that’s enough.

How come Kojima gets a lifetime achievement award so early compared to Kaz!

Alan Wake for Xbox Game of the year.

They should have a multiplatform game award and then strip multiplatform from the individual console categories.

yeah Im with BHW on ME 2. However I think black ops is going to take it. in the GOTY section. But I must be honest all the games in this section are fantastic!
Batman gets my vote for most anticipated.

GT5 isn’t out yet, we DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS WORTH THE NOD
The other nominations have at least been released to the critics for reviews. Spike are probably not sure if GT5 will even release this year

WHy are we even having the GT5 discussion. I tink the game is going to own but its EXACTLY the same as saying, “The Green Lantern movie isn’t out yet but it should get the MTV Movie of the year Award based based on the teaser.”

I Think the nominees look good, remember The SPike VGA’s are similiar to the MTV award shows, the awards are given to the really big players in the scene…
Yes, i just indirectly compared Halo: Reach to Rihanna…
Always a cool show to watch though.

And why is Red dead Redemption suddenly ‘a PS3 game’?

And it deserves to, definitely my pick for GOTY.

Best shooter, Black Ops and Best Graphics Heavy Rain, the only games I feel should win their respective categories. The rest can go anywhere.

Though a Best Story category would be nice.

Why is Red Dead not under Xbox as well? It’s a conspiracy I tell ya.
Think it’ll be an epic slug-fest between Red Dead and
ME2. Both games deserve it,but I’ll have to go with
    Red Dead. 🙂

ME2 for me. I enjoyed RDR, but ME2 drew me in more, especially being able to carry over your decisions from ME1. Best shooter and mp for me is between Reach and BFBC2, and I can’t choose between the two if I’m honest.
