Season pass! Get yer season pass! Get it on a stick! Just about every game these days has hit on the notion that giving players the chance to unlock future content with hard play, kinda stupid. There’s money to be made in making such content easy to purchase. Here’s what the season pass for Shadow Of Mordor will get you.
- Exclusive ‘Guardians of the Flaming Eye’ Orc Warband mission – Players will face Sauron’s elite Defenders before the Black Gate and earn the Rising Flame rune
- Early access to the ‘Trials of War’ challenge series – Players will test their skills against select legions of Sauron’s forces in this series of challenge modes and build their legend as gamers post their best score on the Challenge Leaderboard
- All new story missions with hours of gameplay:
Lord of the Hunt – Hunt the wild beasts of Mordor as player’s discover hidden lairs, earn unique runes and face off against powerful monsters
The Bright Lord – Play as Celebrimbor, the great Elven smith of the Second Age, and battle against Sauron and the might of his forces- Access to future content – Including runes, skins and additional future add-on content.
Expect this season pass to retail for around £19.99, according to Eurogamer, while PS4 owners will also get some pre-order exclusives. Shadow Of Mordor is out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on September 30. It’s a surprisingly detailed game, and if you allow Zoe to tell you about it, she’ll talk your ears off as she gushes about branding every living thing around and twisting it into an unwilling servant to die for her cause as she cruises around Middle Earth.

And dev’s keep telling us “We have not cut content at all”…here we have a new IP, its only releasing early Oct (2 months away), but we already being told of what we can not get in the game itself. Game looks very good but arrrrghhhhh!!!! Can’t the game be out first before you start your marketing crap of what is to come.

Here is a game that’s going all out, DRM, exclusive content, DLC, season pass, pre-order DLC, to try and sell the game.
This is how the gaming industry is trying to get someone like me who is interested in the game to go out and buy the game. But because of all that shit, DRM, exclusive content, DLC, season pass, pre-order DLC, I have no interest in buying the game.
Lets compare. The Witcher 3 has no DRM, no exclusive in-game content, no season pass, no pre-order DLC, and I’ve already pre-ordered the game.
