Official Pricing of MW2 in South Africa Announced

The price of MW2 has been making more headlines than I am sure Activision or Megarom would have liked but these things happen and have to be accepted.

The last we heard was that the Prestige Edition was going to be hitting our stores with a RRP of R2299 which was significantly higher than we were all hoping for.

Well the good news is that Megarom have now officially revealed the RRP for the Prestige Edition and it is coming in R400 less at R1899.

Now granted this is higher than we would like to pay but it is hardly an illogical price point when you look at what you are getting as well as the size of our market locally.

Megarom have also announced that the standard edition for the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be coming in at R699 with the Nintendo DS and PC versions retailing for R399.

So in reality you are looking at paying R1200 for night vision goggles, Steel case, art book, Call of Duty classic and a nifty head stand to put your goggles onto.

If that sounds like a good deal to you then head on over to your favourite local retailer and pre-order your title, else we’ll see you on the battlefield on the 10th of November as there is no way you could resist the standard version.

[Update] Kalahari.net now has pre-orders listed for R1637.96 and normal versions for R603.86, nicely done.
