The Xbox 360 Blu-Ray rumour is back… and being denied once again.
I don’t understand the point of this rumour to be honest, I like spreading rumours just as much as the rest of them (okay maybe more) but this one is pretty pointless.
Yes adding a Blu-Ray player to the Xbox 360 will allow the fanboys to check an extra box in the next PS3 comparison but would it make any difference to the vast majority of gamers out there?
Personally I don’t think so and if you want a Blu-Ray player and don’t want a PS3 then you can now just pick up a stand alone for very reasonable prices… well not in South Africa yet but elsewhere this is the case.

Blue Ray is useless. It doesn’t make a difference at all. When I hesitated in buying a ps3 or Xbox 360 I didn’t think for one second at the fact that the PS3 had blue ray. Unless you have a huge HD flat screen, you don’t see the difference with regular DVD. Don’t bother Microsoft, you don’t need it.

Well maybe not for the 360 but definatly for the XboXXX (that’s my prediction for the name 😆 ).either a blu-ray player or a built in 500gb hard drive.

I agree Mac. I didn’t think BluRay would make that much of a difference, but it did. I saw Ratatouille on a 46″ Samsung, Premium 120hz LCD and it looked 3-D! It was so freakin clear and smooth.
And lets face it, most gamers are graphic whores. So why would our movie viewing be any different?

I got a ps3 about two weeks ago just for the Blu ray players functionality. I am a gamer too. Many people are buying the ps3 just for the Blu ray player.
