So last week we announced our brand new Lazygamer.net Minecraft server that we’ve commissioned just for our awesome community.

Gareth Bockel has been a huge help in getting this going and ensuring the server stays up and stable and this morning he overloaded my inbox with a ton of pictures of how the world is taking shape.
Now I’m the first to admit I don’t really get the Minecraft fascination but I am always blown away by what people can create with just different coloured blocks. Not to mention the more my daughters explain the game to me the more impressed I am with its depth.
Take a look at what our world currently looks like.

All done in survival mode except for the tall tower… I started it in survival and kept falling off and dying… so changed 😛

nah, you can fly in creative, can’t in survival unless set to that on the server… which it isn’t.

Unless they’ve changed it, if you hold down shift, you won’t fall off. I’ve spent endless hours on Minecraft, trying my best to stay away.

I used to have a permanent cramp in my left pinky because of that game. I still want to build one, insane project. Started with a 1:1 Colosseum a while back, but stopped when I found out somebody already did it in survival mode. I want to do something to that effect though.

Here’s what I am currently working on. Dug this village out of the desert. Kept hearing doors open and shut, turns out half this village was under sand. And then I started building a wall around it. Not quite finished yet, still a lot of work left.
