Titanfall 2 PC specifications and Attrition revealed 2

Titanfall 2 is getting all its ducks in a row as it prepares to drop a little later next month. The two public beta weekends held last month showed off a lot of promise, even if Respawn had to make some rather massive changes to their formula mid-way through. They’re continuing to learn though, bring back the fan favourite mode Attrition and now revealing some more than attractive PC specifications for their third, more pretty version of the game.

And unlike most blog post, Respawn went into some heavy details. You’ve got minimum, recommended and ultra specifications to dig through, each targeting 60FPS gameplay at different resolutions. Minimum will target 1600×900, while recommended gives you a ballpark configuration for full 1920×1080. Ultra goes well beyond that, if you’re looking for a higher resolution but stable build to aim for. You can check out all the requirements below.

Minimum

  • OS – Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit
  • CPU – Intel Core i3-3600t or equivalent
  • RAM – 8GB
  • HDD Free Space – 45GB
  • GPU – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • DirectX – 11
  • Internet Connection – 512Kbps or faster

Recommended

  • OS – Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit
  • CPU – Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent
  • RAM – 16GB
  • HDD Free Space – 45GB
  • GPU – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB
  • DirectX – 11
  • Internet Connection – 512Kbps or faster

Ultra 4K60

  • OS – Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit
  • CPU – Intel Core i7-6700k or equivalent
  • RAM – 16GB
  • HDD Free Space – 45GB
  • GPU – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB
  • DirectX – 11
  • Internet Connection – 512Kbps or faster

It’s well within the norms of the current industry benchmarks, so there’s really nothing to worry about of you’re currently slaying all your PC gaming with your current setup. Respawn was even kind enough to include some in-house benchmarks with the above specifications, showing you exactly what settings were tweaked to keep the framerate well above the 60FPS line.

But these are all numbers and figures – what about some actual PC gameplay? Respawn delivered in spades again, with the most interesting new footage being of the recently added Attrition mode being played on PC. This is easily the most frantic mode in the game, with loads of AI controlled creeps running around hulking Titans in battle. It’s gorgeous, and makes me even more eager to jump into Titanfall 2 when it launches next month.
