So I was flipping around the internet, and I came across this gem.
Apparently a Hybrid XBox 360 Slim and PC concoction has surfaced.
Yeah, I didn’t believe it either, but if you don’t believe me, check it out after the jump.
Each PC comes with a built-in Xbox 360 ‘Slim’, which can be played while the PC is running other tasks and software, and supports all of the same connections and features of a full console. While the built-in Xbox 360 is certainly the biggest selling point of The Big O, it is actually one of the fastest gaming rigs available.
The entry level version of the system features an overclocked 4.0GHz Intel Core i7 930 processor, a liquid cooled Rampage III Extreme motherboard, dual NVIDIA GTX 480 GPUs, 6GBs of memory, dual 50GB SSD drives, a 2TB hard drive, Creative Fatal1ty sound card, and built-in Blu-ray burner. Sounds expensive? It is; Origin has priced the base configuration at $7,669.
And if that isn’t all, you can even go so far as further customising it if the above specs aren’t enough for your greedy gaming needs.
The Big O offers this powerhouse which features dual Intel Xeon X5680 processors overclocked to 4.3GHz, an EVGA SR2 motherboard, liquid cooling, quad SLI EVGA GTX 480 GPUs, 12GBs of memory, four 50GB SSD drives, two 2TB hard drives, a built-in Blu-ray burner, and a built-in 8 channel HD audio sound card, at a price of $16,999.
So if you want to shell out the big bucks to show off this shiny toy to your friends, and say “I have a XBox 360 Slim and a Gaming PC all rolled into one” you can shoot on over to their website.

Kinda defeats the point of a reduced sized Xbox, doesn’t it?

That may be so Geoff, but if you’re a pc gamer, then size doesn’t really matter. What matters though is how freakishly awesome your box looks, and what it can do 😛

Hahahahah
That kinda defeats the point now doesn’t it (economical gaming without the issues of pc’s)
Shame xbox trying to keep up with the all-powerful 6 cell core of the PS3

Not gonna happen imho al360. At least not in this generation. However as can be seen by the screenshots the Lazygamer staff posts periodically even WITH it’s 6 cell core PS3 still cant keep up with the beautiful graphics put out by the Xbox 360…

I’m a die-hard pc fan through and through. Nothing will change that. I like the Xbox360 though because of the nice selection of games they bring out for the platform, but again, most of the stuff that comes out for Xbox, comes out for the PC eventually anyways, and ends up looking better (depending on your rig of course). So I just end up waiting no matter what happens…

touche nitefenix but as i said earlier i believe its down to the developer and not the hardware that’s at fault for that.as i have to agree some games do look better on xbox and vice versa

Honestly, I dunno if it’s true though, I’ve heard that the PS3 has a lot of untapped potential, and it’s life cycle will way outlast the XBox360 with regards to that. So by the time we reach the full development potential of the PS3 we should have games that will probably end up looking nearly as good as that of some of the better PC Rigs on the market today.

Gimme,gimme,gimme! :w00t:
But with the temp generated inside that box,
that poor xbox will RROD within 5min of
switching on the power

Besides that its the newer Xbox 360 250GB, I think the fact that the whole thing has liquid cooling should sort that out lol

I think just the fact that this rig is so friggen cool (pardon the pun), is enough to prevent a RROD

The CPU in the xbox is triple-core and dual threaded
