PES 2009 Gameplay Footage

This is the first gameplay footage of PES 2009 that I have been able to find.

The graphics seem to have been improved dramatically but the goal at the end felt a little FIFA like don’t you think?

The dribbling looks awesome though. My money is still on FIFA 2009 being the one to own in this round though, but I am sure the PES fans will be happy to prove me wrong.

That is definitely a classic pes goal

Every year fifa’s gameplay tries to emulate pes’ and fails miserably, the first thing I thought when I played euro was, “its pes on the fifa engine” and euro is supposed to be the precursor to fifa 09

The scary thing for me is that for the first time in 12 years, PES is not a foregone conclusion purchase. PES2008 had that many shortcomings (well, no, it was really just PES6 in a new skin) and if they do not fix the online multiplayer, Konami can keep their title.

So does that mean you won’t be importing with us and that we won’t be having our long overdue match up?

Any reason you’re importing and not ordering from a local supplier?

According to zaps they have been told they will be receiving the game in November and unless that changes I’ll be importing so I can have it when it releases in October in Europe.
The game has always released late in South Africa so I wouldn’t be surprised if it did again

Completely agree with Pillsburydeeboy. Hardly played PES2008 because of the multiplayer. Lets see if they get it right!

PES2008 was the worst PES in the series. But I do feel that Konami probably took a big knock with it and thus probably learned so I’m sure the online play will be back to what it should be. So does anyone know how much it’s going to cost to import? I might just do this with you.
