Play every game in EA Access for free next week

EA Access is a pretty damned good service. It’s one of the most forward-thinking, consumer friendly gaming subscriptions available, which makes the fact that it comes from EA so mind-boggling. Now also available on PC (as Origin Access), the subscription service lets gamers play games from a vault of recent titles, for no extra cost.

It also lets gamers play games for a while before they’re out, and then pick up where they left off if they do decide to buy those games. Still, the biggest selling point is that vault, which includes the likes of Titanfall, FIFA 15, Battlefield Hardline and many, many more games.

And now, you’ll be able to play those games for free. For a limited time, Microsoft and EA are opening up EA Access to all Gold subscribers, letting them sample its wares without paying a cent. Xbox Live Gold members get to experience the EA Access Vault for free during the week of January 19 – 24.

Says Xbox Live’s Major Nelson:

“Get ready for the release of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 by binging on the original during the EA Access Free Play Days.  Your characters earned carry over – plus EA Access members get 10% off EA games, and get to play GW2 before it hits the shelves.

EA games now in The Vault include Battlefield Hardline, EA Sports UFC, Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, Madden 25, Dragon Age: Inquisition, NHL 15, Titanfall, Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, NBA LIVE 15, Peggle 2, FIFA 14, and Madden 14.

After Free Play Days, you’ll have the option to become an EA Access member for $4.99 (USD) per month, or $29.99 (USD) for a full year, and can continue playing your favorite Vault games right where you left off. You’ll also get to keep your Gamerscore and achievements earned while playing”

The subscription will knock you back R48.50 monthly, or R299 annually if you’re in South Africa – which is pretty damned good value, if you ask me.

Seriously recommend it, I picked it up last year on Origin and totally enjoy it, its so easy to find a match and generally is a much less intense but overly fun third person, have the 2nd one on pre order

Surprisingly the microtransactions aren’t in your face which is cool

I just logged into my Origin for the first time in a very long time. I see I actually have it. (no idea how)
Will give it a try. 🙂

Check to see if it’s the 2 hour trail they give out else if it isn’t sleep hoarding..that point as a PC player where deals are too good to pass up that your subconscious makes that hard decision for you

It’s how I purchased Road Redemption….nope wait wait that was me thinking it would be good, seriously I would rather play that Kim Kardashian game then that.

Haha. I’ll check later. I can’t see so well online on Origin, half the name is cut off.

Yeah, R299 for the year or R48.50 a month? Totally.

Am tempted to just pay the yearly thing, if only to get 10% of all Dragon Age DLC and to play Fifa 15

    It looks extremely attractive

I’m hoping origin access hits SA soon , value wise dig that I can play Hardline and Dragon Age III without having to spend an absurd amount.
