Injustice

We’ve already let you know which games you’ll be getting as part of your PlayStation Plus subscriptions for November – and it’s upset a number of fans who’re tired of the indie stuff, and have been waiting for AAA games for the PS4. Sony’s also been accused of not letting gamers know early enough what games to expect. Good news for them then; Sony’s fixed “both problems”. Here are some of the games coming to the instant game collection in December and January.

According to the Euro PS Blog, December really is Christmas. PlayStation 4 owners will be on the receiving end of Injustice: Gods Among Us ultimate edition, and the indie – but rather awesome – Secret Ponchos. In January next year, PlayStation 4 owners can expect the standalone expansion for inFamous: Second Son, First light, and the also indie, but also awesome The Swapper.

To recap:

December

  • Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition
  • Secret Ponchos
  • More TBC

January

  • inFAMOUS: First Light
  • The Swapper
  • More TBC

Today’s also the day that the Instant Game Collection refreshes, meaning a bunch of games leave the service, to be replaced with a whole new set.

Leaving PS Plus:
5th November: Dust: An Elysian Tale
5th November: Spelunky (PS4/PS3/PS Vita Cross Buy)
5th November: Batman Arkham Asylum
5th November: Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (PS3 only)
5th November: Pix the Cat (PS Vita/PS4 Cross Buy)
5th November: Rainbow Moon (PS Vita/PS3 Cross Buy)

Entering PS Plus:
5th November: Binding of Isaac Rebirth (PS4/PS Vita Cross Buy)
5th November: Steamworld Dig (PS4/PS Vita Cross Buy)
5th November: Frozen Synapse Prime
5th November: Luftrausers (PS3/PS Vita Cross Buy)
5th November: The Hungry Horde
5th November: Escape Plan (PS4/PS Vita Cross Buy)

Here’s another look at the game’s you’ll get later today.

I can’t believe they put such a tiny HDD on the new consoles. It’s 2014.

Yeah, there is hope though, the COD:AW special edition Xbox One does have a 1TB HDD in it…. So I’m sure we’ll (Eventually) see 1TB models of both consoles.

I hope so for the sake of the console gamers. The new consoles are supposed to be “more than just a gaming device”, and 500gb HDD makes that hard to believe.

i agree but you can change the hard drive quite easily now so if you need more space you can get it:) However 1TB would have been nice on PS4.

that’s what i did – i claimed PS4 games before I owned the console so when I eventually bought it, i had an instant library of games.

      I did this.

Had a PS3 (with a PSN+ sub), I kept “buying” the free PS4 games. When i got my PS4, i had 14 games ready to download.

Brilliant line up!!! That is some very cool games we are getting!!
I think this is in a way an apology for the Drivedud fiasco…. If Drivedud worked as advertised we would not be getting any AAA games for at least another six months or so…

I wouldn’t go that far, if Sony wanted to say sorry they would’ve given us Knack or some other Sony exclusive instead of a multiplat.

It is really a good game, great story with good solid controls and some very well thought out powers!! I think they overdid the powers a bit, I would have stuck to 2… But it is a very good game and if on special pick it up!! You won’t be sorry at all!!

As an old school arcade fiend I played Volgarr the Viking last night for the first time as Xbone’s offering for November… take bad SNES graphics, average sound, shitty control and crank the difficulty up higher than Spelunky and make us do it over and over and over again, no thanks.
To be fair, I had a few Jameson’s but still, irritating as fuck what gets passed off as games on these services currently. Only my son isn’t complaining but he still spends 90% of his time gaming on the last gen consoles.

Indies add a fresh creative flavour and are much easier as a quick plug and plays. I do believe it helps keep the industry fresh aswell… but soon we’ll probably see the novelty wear off a bit once the AAA titles for next gen actually start coming through at a steady pace.

Novelty will eventually wear off but not because of an increase in AAA games but rather an overcrowded indie sector.
