Move over Skylanders and Disney, because Pokémon is also gunning for a slice of toys-to-life pie. Based on the 3DS game from last year, Pokémon Rumble U is pretty much a beat ‘em up for the pocket monsters. Except that there are hundreds of them to collect. Literally hundreds.
The Wii U game will make use of that gamepad controller and Near Field Communication for the toys to life part of the game. The eShop version is out in European territories on August 15, before heading to North America on August 29. Here’s a bunch of new screens courtesy of AGB.
And while the game itself will be on the local eShop, there’s no word yet on how those figures will be available locally and in which packaging format, but we’ll update as soon as we hear back from the reps.
