So far, Assassin’s Creed has taken us around the globe as various characters – Altair, Ezio and Connor. Before we knew the latest installment would include pirates, there was much speculation about when and where we’d be killing people. Now, Ubisoft has leaked that they did actually listen to everyone.
Now, I must give fair warning on this. I found this beautiful little Easter Egg while playing through Assassin’s Creed IV. There are a ton of trolling Easter Eggs in the game, though, so this is probably just a way of riling up players. That said, look what I found:
Summer of Love assassins? Isn’t that just the Son of Sam? I really like that they listened though – good to see references to the Shogunate in Japan and the French Revolution. I would really love to play as a female assassin in Japan – those ladies were insanely talented and I’m sure would be all kinds of fun. Who knows if they will actually use any of these, or if they are simply acknowledging their audience. Either way, at least people can stop complaining that Ubisoft hasn’t listened to what gamers want – they’ve heard you, they just may or may not take your advice on board.

Saw this a few days ago. While I do think its just a nod to the fans who have been calling for these games for a while, some of them are definite possibilities.
The French Revolution is one I have been calling for for ages. As for Ninja AC……I dont know if that will happen. If I’m not mistaken, one of the producers of the series has said on a few occasions that a AC game set in Japan would be ‘boring’…….um okay then.

I’d go for the French Revolution and Japan. The Japanese Assassins were some of the best ever the world has never seen.

Egypt would have some amazing visuals and scenery. It’d be one hell of a beautiful setting. And you’d contrast that with the slavery and sprawling cities. Throw in some Jews, and their struggle for freedom, and you have some really detailed background story to work with.

Yeah, but you’d spend so much time in the desert riding a camel or a dying horse that it would become WAY too frustrating and boring 😛
The cities like Cairo etc would be awesome and running up the pyramids would be epic… but a desert setting that vast would be insane.

Yeah, I’d enjoy a thriving Cairo etc and a swim down the Nile, while dodging some crocs… but I still dunno about it… you’d probably have to take cover during massive dust storms, hunt a Pharaoh for your selected one to take power, kill a cat or two, dodge some asps, kill a task master during the construction of the pyramid of Giza, etc.

For an AC game set in Japan the story could be something like:
The Templars go to take over Japan.
The Assassins follow to stop them.
Both sides are decimated by the local samurai and ninjas.
You then start playing shortly after.
