This is becoming a little worrying, last month we reported on a few Swedish websites setting a price tag of R1 500 for the upcoming Project Natal and now Edge magazine is reporting that the Natal will cost in the region of R1 300 at launch.
This is significantly more than the previous R500 – R800 we were working with and takes the purchase out of the impulse buy bracket which could be a bad decision by Microsoft.
When approached Microsoft had it’s stock standard reply no hand
“(Microsoft) does not comment on rumour or speculationâ€
I have huge expectations for Project Natal and Move and hopefully they will all be met at E3 this year.

I agree 1500 to 2000…
Face it ! if Ms charges R1200 for a freakin WIFI adapter for the Xbox ! why would they charge less than 1500 for Natal?

If the wireless network adapter costs R1000.00 then I agree that this is going to be over R2000.00.

This is a marketing scheme from microsoft, They are ‘leaking’ shocking rumours only to shock us with a lower price at E3 that is higher than initial rumours of R500. Those bitchass Greedy fat whore sons at Microsoft!!!!

I think you right actually.
Apple did something similar with the iPad. Everyone was thinking $800-$1000 based on all the leaks. Then all of a sudden it’s $500 and it’s ‘cheap’.
