Prototype 2 is nothing new. Announced back at the 2010 Spike VGAs, the news didn’t exactly blow us over. The original was, well boring and with the sequels story line looking to be as riveting as that sliced cheese you get in those individual packets; it’s not looking any better.
Taking place 14 months after the end of Prototype, Sergeant James Heller makes his way deep into the red zone with one goal, to die. Ironically he doesn’t and is infected by a strain of the Blacklight virus by Alex Mercer – the protagonist from the first game. He now sets out to exact revenge on Mercer for keeping him alive and will stop at nothing to defeat him… original isn’t it.
While the game is not due out until sometime in 2012, Radical Entertainment has just released a new trailer. It doesn’t show much, but what we can gather is that our new protagonist has one hell of an arm.
