Sony’s PS Vita was the worst kept pre-E3 secret and now that the Sony conference has been held we can officially announce it.

The big news is that we can expect the Vita to hit this holiday season and the prices being talked about at the moment are $249 – $299 (with 3G) which equates to a theoretical value of R2 031 but a real value of close to R2 800 – R3 000.

There are currently 57 third party publishers signed up to make titles for the PS Vita but the big games that were announced were a mobile version of Uncharted and obviously a LittleBigPlanet port.

Oh and did we forget to mention it really does have dual analogue sticks, finally… now it’s a real handheld in my humble FPS addicted opinion.

So what do you think about the Vita? Is it going to decimate the 3DS and is that name any good?
