PS3 beats the Wii and 360 in Europe 8 March 2008

I have a feeling this is going to be the last PS3 victory in Europe for some time following the recent price cuts. However it was quite a resounding victory so it is possible that it will keep it’s lead even through the price cuts.

Hardware
PS3 – 75,246
Wii  – 73,622
360 – 44,662

However in the software sales the PS3 is still lagging behind, not far behind anymore but still behind

Software
Wii  – 435,940
360 – 323,006
PS3 – 313,844

So now we sit back and await the the results of the price cuts. I do expect the 360 to win comfortably in two weeks time though.

I’m pleasantly surprised that wii software sales are still so high.

Hopefully it’ll encourage 3rd party devs to put some effort into their wii games for a change.

    Lets face the facts…
Considering that the 360 has almost double the install base its refreshing for me to see that the ps3 is only marginally behind on software sales…

Come on guys ! you must start seeing the downward trend in MS… They have a great console but they just showed too much arrogance just as MS shows about windows… A kind of we do what we want and you will like it.And just like me that got fed up…so are countless others.

If MS starts showing that they really care about their users they could win, they can beat my beloved PS3 and even the Wii… but they have lost ground the last 3 – 6 months and seems their trying to gain again with their price cut… a winning move will be Live for all countries the console is sold…. even if it was a live Africa

I’m just saying, Lazy…I called this :). This is before the release of any hard-hitters, too. We’ll see what happens when the price cut comes into action…
