The PlayStation Network got hacked and went down for nearly a month. That’s old news – and hopefully  we can put all this hacking malarkey behind us. It’s been back up now for just as long as it was down – which means that Sony’s “Welcome back” program ends soon; this very weekend in fact.

What does that mean to you? It means it’s pretty much your last chance to grab a bunch of free games for Your PS3 and PSP – and who turns up their noses at free games, right?

Here’s what you, as a Euro territory PSN user can download, if you haven’t managed to do so already :

Two PS3 games from the following list:

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Infamous*
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Dead Nation

Two PSP games from the following list (if you signed up to PSN on your PSP)

  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • ModNation PSP
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation*

– 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PS Plus subscribers

– Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will be given 60 days free subscription.

I picked up Ratchet and Clank and the insanely fun Dead Nation. What did you get? And if you haven’t gotten your free haul already what are you GOING TO get? Remember to abuse that 30 day PSN+ subscription if you’re not already a subscriber. Although the free games are yours only while your sub is valid, any games you purchase using plus discounts are yours to keep. Also take a look at the cloud saving feature, and back your saves up. If for some reason your PS3 dies or is stolen, you can sign up for plus and retrieve your saves. Handy!

Anyway, remember to grab your goodies before 3 July, or you’ll spend all of American independence day kicking your own ass.
