PSA: SimCity 2000 is currently free on Origin

SimCity 2000 was released way way back in February of ‘95 and instantly became a cult classic. It’s now 19 years later (feeling old yet?) and the game is still probably the best city builder ever released.

Well for a short time only EA Games have now changed the price from the standard R59 to free and for nothing. Even if you aren’t sure you want this game I would recommend you at least add it to your Origin library because you are going to want to show this to your kids one day.

To grab it just head over to this link and follow the very simple instructions.

Happy last day of school in Gauteng Wednesday, everyone.

This was great! Imagine GTA in the city you’ve just built. I’d be keen on that.

That and Streets of SimCity were novel but poorly done.

Enjoyed them for a while though!

It is actually! You overrun the whole yard and house until the owners run away!

I’d spend days creating the perfect city. Would then save a separate save and turn on disasters….. Once I did that I could never keep it going anymore. Favourite was the invasion one hehehehehe

Is it really free if it comes with DRM.
