Quantum of Solace: What do you think?

Quantum of Solace is being hailed as the best 007 game to see a console since GoldenEye captured the hearts of so many Nintendo 64 owners.

By utilising the Call of Duty 4 engine, they secured a good looking game that will most probably work really well, but is it enough? I quite like the idea of the 3rd and 1st person mixed gameplay but I am not entirely sure that I am fully sold on the game just yet.

What do you guys think? Is it going to be a surprise title that shows us that licenses can still work well?

I think this game shows great potential. In utilizing the COD4 engine, combined with Treyarch working extremely hard to redeem themselves in the eyes of the FPS crowd after COD3 and the the fact that they are aiming to launch a franchise, I expect a solid game.

I definitely see this being the best 007 games since GoldenEye. Will it replace GoldenEye as the top Bond game of all time? No, I don’t think so…

All in all, I’m very excited about trying it out. It’ll be a great 007 gaming experience, the best we’ve had in a while.

I agree, while not competing with some of the other titles like FarCry 2 I think this game is still going to be top notch, and as you know Nick, Activision-Blizzard have started to concentrate harder on their Movie Game Franchise to bring a better experience to gamers and the casual market, hopefully enticing the casual gamer to step into the hardcore market 🙂 I’m personally excited for the game.

I understand what Activision is planning but with all due respect to those folks, what you say and what you do is a different story. I hope the game is cool, I quite liked the initial footage that I saw so we will have to wait and see for ourselves.
