Howdy folks and welcome back to Question of the Week. Last weeks question had our readers telling us their stories of ultimate and absolute pwnage and although some of the stories involved some awesome gaming skills, a lot of you guys seem to have been blessed with some serious luck.

I have posted the winner’s name up after the jump below.

So now that that’s out of the way, let’s get down to the fun stuff.

This Weeks Question: Did you ever play (and really enjoy) a game in secret because your friends would think you were lame?

So, for this week’s question I really want you guys to spill the beans. We have all played a game at one point or another that was considered so lame that your friends would no longer be able to see you as the hardcore “l33t pWnZor” that you are. Problem is, you really loved it and probably put more hours into it than you ever would have originally anticipated.

Thanks to the latest offerings from Nintendo, titles like these are a dime a dozen. Late night Wii Fit Hula Hoop sessions? We want to hear all about it. Tell us your tale and you could win yourself a noddy badge (not really). Sorry to say, but we are working on getting a permanent sponsor for this spot right now, hopefully we will be back to giving real prizes away soon enough.

Keep supporting the Question of the Week with your stories and even get your friends to enter as well. With enough supports from our readers, we should be able to organise a sponsor for the weekly prizes. This section is completely designed to benefit our readers but it is only our readers that can help us make this happen. To quote Jerry Mcguire: “Help me help you”.

Just a quick note before I announce the winner, the judging for the Question of the Week is going to be done a little differently. To keep things fair, all accepted entries will now be put into a randomiser and the winner will then be chosen electronically using Random.org, as was done with the winner of last weeks prize.

Congratulations to Milesh Bhana for winning a copy of TNA iMPACT! for the Playstation 3. Your gaming skills and a stroke of randomised luck have earned you a new “beat-down simulator”. Please send your details to comps@lazygamer.co.za so that we can organise to have your prize sent to you.

You can check out last weeks’ question as well as the stories that people wrote by clicking here.

[please note that we can only accept entries from our readers that live in the SADC]

The sims. Yes, I am a fan, yes, I hide the disc inside hustler dvd boxes so that my friends don’t see it, yes, I delete the game from my pc when ever I go to a lan.

    I’m such a loser

    *sigh

Peggles Deluxe, okay I said it, I like Peggles, the game is awesome, being able to shoot the peggles, getting it to bounce off the wall just right. Absolutely love the game, sometimes I even delve into Farm Frenzy, but only occasionally okay, I know they are lame but they are soooo fun.

To be honest I can’t say because friends of mine know who I am and read this website.

Let’s just say that The Sims and Peggle are both games I wouldn’t bother hiding from my friends (and I have played both – Peggle is an addiction and should be banned).

I’m a girl-gamer, so it’s already tough to be taken seriously as a gamer by my guy friends. I generally enjoy anything that’s not a first-person shooter or racing game. I loved Portal and Oblivion, and most other RPGs along with funny games like the Monkey Island series…

But my guilty pleasure is (and this is embarrassing) those really really bad games like ‘Cake Mania’ and ‘Pizza shop’ and ‘Burger rush’ – the kind you can download and play for an hour free.

I think I enjoy them because it reminds me of playing Space Quest when I was young, and they had a mini-game in Monolith Burger (in Space Quest 4, I think) where you had to build burgers (well, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.)

My brother was absolutely disgusted when he found them on my computer on day. He laughed. A lot.

There are a few games my friends think are lame, but I remain unapologetic about my love for them:

    1) Viva Pinata
    2) Desktop Tower Defence (The. Most. Addictive. Game. Of. All. Time)
    3) LocoRoco

You can’t get any lamer than those games that comes on the cellphones. Like the bowling that comes on the cellphones.

The joy of knocking all ten skittles down and one go and then watching a man pop out from the side of the screen and tip his hat  . Though I still never get the chicken walking past the screen after 3 perfect rounds 😕 . Not that I play that game 🙄
