RainbowSix

There is no doubt about it, Ubisoft really like their Tom Clancy games. It has been 6 years since the last Rainbow Six came out though, and Ubisoft have just announced their latest entry, Rainbow Six Siege.

The gameplay video shows a hostage situation in a large house. There is a map overview, giving an analysis of the situation at hand. The team go for the breach, and enter the house. The Hud shows that there are 5 members from the Rainbow team versus 5 terrorists.

There are some nifty gadgets tools at the Rainbow teams disposal.  They throw a remote control drone which shows a video feed of the situation in the next room. It shows two terrorists with a hostage. The player decides to go for a death from above tactic. He moves up to the second storey and places explosives on the floor below. He blows the floor out and eliminates the terrorists quickly.  He grabs the hostage and begins making his way out. En route though, things get heated and the hostage gets shot. Much like a typical reveal trailer, its orchestrated and ends with one member of the Rainbow team versus a lone terrorist before it ends.

Rainbow Six Siege looks interesting. I’m quite keen to see more details on it surface with regards to more gameplay mechanics and such.
