We haven’t even had the game released here yet and already a new multiplayer map has been added.
What is even more interesting is that this map seems is sponsored by a third party company. A lot of people complain about advertising in games but how many would actually complain if instead of advertising companies paid for extra free DLC to be developed? Then had a banner or two in that DLC?
I know I wouldn’t….
Anyway how do you get the map when you do finally get your hands on the game?
Step 1: Go to the Main Menu in R6V2
Step 2: Select “Extras”
Step 3: Select “Comcast Gift”
Step 4: Enter the code “Comcast Faster” when prompted…
That’s it, the new map called “Comcast Event” is now available to play.
Well done Comcast and if I hope this brings you a pile of new customers and you keep the maps rolling….

I have no problem with in-game advertising, i don’t mind if my character runs around with a huge “Tampax” lable on his back. If it helps devs make money and brings prices down or as in this case gives us some free content then great.
What worries me is when these advertisers start putting pressure on devs to rush games so their marketing campaign happens on time. That will be a problem.

Burnout Paradise has a whole bunch of unlockable Sponsor cars, like Walmart. But it wasn’t the first either, Burnout Revenge had DLC sponsored cars as well, like cars from the Spike Channel.
I also don’t mind in game ads, provided they’re in context. I don’t want to see Coke ads in Fable.

If you want to unlock the assault rifle here is the code.
For the not so much Exclusive Code for the Best Buy offer for the Unlockable Assault Rifle is no more then a cheat code as follows: at the Main Menu (Hold RB) Down, Down, Up, Up, X, B, X, B, Y, Up, Up, Y (I used the D-Pad to go up and down with and unlocked it the first try)
