Red Dead Redemption’s gloriously rotten box art

Sadly, we’ll probably never see physical copies of Red Dead Redemption with this delightful reimagining. We’ll just have to be content knowing that it’s the first bit of tease from Rockstar for the upcoming Undead Nightmare DLC due to hit their Western epic in the near future.

The Undead Nightmare content pack will add a set of new single-player missions in which Marston will have to battle the effects of a Zombie plague. The DLC will include new weapons, animals, zombies and new multiplayer modes.

Full version of the “box art” after the jump.

Isn’t it awesome? I particularly like how the pus-yellow offsets the exposed guts of Mr. Zombie. The worm-infested eye socket is also delightful! Good job Rockstar.

  1. You know what’s sad, the realisation that where women are going gaga over glittering (or not) vampires (in the form of Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood etc.) men (boys) are being marketed zombies ad nuseaum ad infinitum.

There’s nothing wrong with this, after all who wouldn’t want GTA4 dlc where the whole city has been transformed into a zombipocalypse.

    “Grab the shotgun Niko”

Zombieland, after all rocked my socks, and I just downloaded the old classic, Night of the Living Dead from archive.org, and although I’m personally excited over Red Dead Redemption getting the undead, I have to ask, is this the new standard? Zombies everywhere? CoD WAW had them, which means Black Ops will have them too. I just zombied myself out on Case Zero and finally gained 200 points towards my inconsequential gamerscore, which means I probably won’t get Dead Rising 2, because Case Zero, reminded me why I never actually finished Dead Rising 1 in the first place.
