MGS V Collector's Edition missing DLC codes on PS4

Metal Gear Solid V is just four days away now, and I can almost taste the hot rob read prosthetic arm of Big Boss. In a completely imaginary way too, because of those lucky enough to snag the Collector’s Edition for the game will be able to actually taste the 1:1 replica arm if they really want to. The Metal Gear Solid V Collector’s Edition is the most complete version of the game – or at least it is on one console.

A report on Reddit claims that all the DLC codes meant to come with the CE on PS4 are, for some reason, missing in the box. A team doing an unboxing of the edition found this out he hard way, quickly contacting Konami for clarification. Konami is claiming that this was a production error, and that all codes will now be sent to individual retailers to send out to customers. Another Redditor confirmed that Amazon would be doing this, suggesting that all copies of the CE have been compromised.

Oddly enough, the Xbox One version is not effected by this in any way – with the physical pamphlet codes coming packed in the entire bundle.

The Collector’s Edition is meant to include the following exclusive DLC (including the Day-One pre-order DLC):

  • Snake Costume Pack (4 camouflage outfits for Snake)
  • Cardboard Box Pack (3 cardboard boxes)
  • Weapons Pack (4 guns, 4 ballistic shields)
  • Venom Snake Emblem
  • Metal Gear Online items (Metal Gear Rex Helmet, AM MRS-4 Gold, WU S. Pistol Gold)
  • Metal Gear Online XP Boost
  • Adam-ska special revolver
  • Silver personal ballistic shield
  • Wetland cardboard box
  • Blue urban fatigues outfit

It’s not a major issue if Konami is diligent about sending codes to every single retailer selling the Collector’s Edition, but it is a bit of a mess if you do fork out more for the exclusive edition and end up getting a little less than you bargained for. It’s all fine to say that it’s not the reason you bought the Collector’s Edition in the first place, but at the end of the day you paid for it. And so you deserve what you paid for, right?

Let’s just hope Konami doesn’t lose these codes in the same hole they’ve decided to lose Hideo Kojima’s name in.

F this you guys still get the Collectors edition. I orderd mine 2 months back payed for it and all and yesterday I got the message that Konami decided that the Whole Benelux (Belgium The Netherlands and Luxemburg) will not get the Xbox one version of the MGS V Collectors Edition. So I got F’d by Konami just 6 day’s before the release without any clear reason to do this. And you guys wine about a DLC code you will still get a bit later, I’m not getting my Collectors edition at all for some reason nobody seems te care about. I am one of the lucky one who could still order an day one edition to still get the game on the release but there are some unfortunates that wont be getting the game on release even if they orderd the CE months before release. So just think about that you will be still getting your whole Collectors Edition instead off hearing 6 day’s before release that you wont be getting any thing at all not even the game because you had to order a new one 6 day’s before the release.

To Konami this is not the way to treat your customers, do something about it, compensate the ones that did order the CE and got the message that they wont get it. This is for all the Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Collectors Edition on Xbox one orders in the Benelux (Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg) We have been fiddled by you.

To be fair, this is Konami we’re talking about here. The people might not even get their keys.

Maybe they just took the key and hid it well. It is a espionage game after all. Do some investigating to find where they hid it away 😛
