Resistance is an oddly polarising franchise. Insomniac’s PS3 launch title FPS has made many fans, with as many people just not getting it. I sit somewhere in the middle, having played and enjoyed Resistance but not quite afflicted by the almost religious fervour some of its proponents carry.
If you might recall, the first trailer we saw of the recently confirmed sequel consisted of live-action footage blended with pre-rendered scenes. Today, we’ve got a new trailer that shows off some of the games kooky weapons, and interesting ways of  killing things. Also, hooray for the return of the weapon wheel! You’ll also get to see a new enemy; The Chimeran brawler. Big, nasty!
Resistance 3 hits the PlayStation 3 on September 6, 2011.
