Warrior

This isn’t exactly gaming news, but if there was a man who looked like the Unreal Engine in the flesh, it had to be James Brian Hellwig, known around the world, as The Ultimate Warrior.

Warrior died today and left our mortal plane for the eternal wrestling ring in the sky, with the exact causes not yet known. He was 54. The Ultimate Warrior had recently been present for Wrestlemania 30, where he was inducted the night before into the annual hall of fame alongside several other legends.

Growing up, The Ultimate Warrior was the wrestler of wrestler. From WWE through to WCW, the man was a lean, mean body-slamming machine that brought a certain kind of electricity to the ring that performers like the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin would later emulate.

Warrior also appeared in the latest WWE game, cutting a trademark promo for the game that showed that the man had lost none of the edge was still a force to be reckoned with. His legendary power-slams will be missed.

You just brought tears to my eyes Darren, no joke. I loved him as a kid. I never thought that he could die.
