Rockstar San Diego Working on something Mind Blowing

According to the rumour cabinet tucked away in the back of All about the games’ offices, Rockstar’s San Diego branch is busy with a project that’ll knock people’s socks off.

They’re the company behind this year’s break-out hit, Read Dead Redemption – and are the folks who built the impressive RAGE engine that’s powered just about every Rockstar game this generation. Let’s put on our level 7 magic hats of speculation and pontificate as to what it could be.

Rockstar San Diego – previously Angel Games – are mostly known for their Midnight Club series of games, Smuggler’s Run and the previously mentioned Red Dead Series. According to the rumour – it’s not GTA, midnight Club or RDR DLC related. It’s also most certainly got nothing to do with elusive PS3 exclusive “Agent,” or the troubled, incorrectly spelled Team Bondi murder mystery L.A Noire.

I hope it’s not a sequel to the notoriously difficult Smuggler’s Run or anything vehicle based – and all signs right now point to it being something entirely new. After Read Dead Redemption though, I’m interested in anything the studio is planning on putting out, and if they say it’ll “blow gamers away,” then I’m all ears.
