So what’s next for Dragon Age? What we do know, is that the game is targeting a 2014 release date, and will ship with the moniker of Inquisition attached to it. And much like that classic Monty Python joke, it could also unexpectedly show up on next-gen systems as well.

According to Kotaku and Superannuation, the LinkedIn page of one employee from the EA shanghai department, hints towards the game being released on future platforms, saying that the “Scope of the DAIII has been changed, which will target next gen platform and will be postpone to 2014 [sic].”

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition was originally meant to release sometime in 2013, but EA has pushed the project back to 2014, in order to give the developers the necessary time required to work on it. It makes sense as well, because Dragon Age 3 was announced with no specific platform mentioned.

Although frankly, the game will most likely arrive on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, seeing as how the installed user base is already quite massive. But as a next-gen title? This could be intriguing. Time to grab the pillows that have pointy ends and shove a Bioware developer into a comfy chair to get some answers!

Dragon Age: Origins was a great game but overrated as hell. Then again, I’d come from Mass Effect 2 expecting something as amazing and was let down.
