Ah the beautiful game. Football, the sport where every single recorded kick in the history of that Eureufa Championship or something massively matters to someone. And pretty soon, it just might be the lead game for the Xbox One.
Looking to drum up some more interest in their console, comes a fresh rumour that the Xbox One will come bundled with FIFA 14 when it launches in European territories according to MCV, who also added that this will be officially announced at Gamescom today.
Priced at the base unit deal of £429.99, the move is designed to save consumers cash while offering buyers an added kick for their money as the Xbox One happens to be more expensive than the Playstation 4.
And from a financial standpoint, the move makes sense. Year after year, FIFA continues to be one of the best-selling titles in European markets and offering this game as an incentive will no doubt help Microsoft in the Sony-dominated regions of Europe.
Hell, FIFA it sold over 3 million copies last year alone in just the UK. It’s a smart move, and one that will no doubt leave a sour taste in the mouth of Sony.
Your move Playstation 4.

I’ll definitely be getting this combo deal, DAY 1! Cannot wait to play Fifa while watching Fifa, with my Fifa fantasy league scores also displaying at the same time!
This is a good move from MS. Fifa is super popular and this might just sway a few (thousand) guys to get the bundle.

It’s actually a pretty sweet deal.

Indeed! If I was in the US and watched more Premier League, I would’ve chosen this bundle without a doubt.

It’s a bundle aimed at European consumers and makes perfect sense. MS might throw in Madden for the American market but I wouldn’t hold my breath. This is a good move by MS and your sarcasm won’t change that.

Hehe, I wasn’t actually being sarcastic. I was being sincere. My 2nd sentence from my 1st post was already sincere. I truly believe this is a great bundle, you don’t have to try and convince me.
Edit: My comment about being in the US was aimed at their extra TV functionality.

Fair enough and I wouldn’t try and convince you, each to their own.
EDIT: My own is PC btw.

Hmmm, someone do the math pls, what will PS4 console, eye, “decent” headset & Fifa cost?
Spathi
August 20, 2013 at 08:15
Rather, leave the eye and decent headset, because 1) The bundle XBO headset is also a piece of shit and 2) Your current headset will work with the PS4 (no adapter required) and 3) You don’t require the eye for Fifa.
In that case, it will still be cheaper, without any special bundle price.

Don’t waste your breath bud, people have made up their minds so don’t confuse them with facts. I will most likely be getting both consoles eventually as I have done with the current gen and am so fucking tired of all the fanboism crap.

There is a fine line between Fanboism and actual preference…some people can see the good and bad in both consoles

I don’t want to sound like a fanboy, but it’s become impossible to defend anything without being labeled that way. But X1 headset isn’t that great either and you don’t need the Eye. That said, whether it is viewed as not ‘Decent’, you still get a headset, so it is still cheaper …. This is still a really nice bundle from X1 and it’s sure to sway a lot of Soccer fans

Maybe but I think limited quantities, regional launch and price it still going to give Sony the edge in the EU market.

August 20, 2013 at 08:55
My guess not before Feb 2014.
Edit: if they follow the same staggered launch pattern as 360 then it can be a late as September 2014.

Ok I checked, leaving the headset out of this (although imo you cannot even compare the two quality wise) you’ll still be paying $20 less for the Xbox one? So you don’t need the eye for Fifa, isn’t it still remarkable that you actually pay less and also guarantee Kinect support going forward on what should easily be a 10 year investment? That being said, this bundle is still to be confirmed and Sony will without a doubt respond to this in some way!

August 20, 2013 at 08:49
Well that is true, if you consider you get the Kinect with, I was looking at from the point of view without it. Kinect is the the main price definer. btw, you can’t compare the two lol …. PS4 headset is pretty lame if I must say so lol

To each region it’s own. USA to get Madden? Maybe SA console will get bundled with new Tropico, you know, to teach us to generate sufficient power, invest in infrastructure and off course clamp down on corruption and crime! ????
