There are so many simulator games out there, it’s hard to keep track. Farm simulator, truck simulator and goat simulator get most of the headlines and reviews. But they aren’t the only ones – just look at the roaring success of I Am Bread. This latest simulator should probably come with some trigger warnings, but I just can’t stop watching.
Shower with your Dad Simulator 2015 has just been released on Steam and only costs 99 cents. But what is it? Well, much like it sounds, it’s a fast paced shower-simulator where you shower with your 8-bit dad. But it’s even weirder than it sounds as one of the key parts of the game includes avoiding showering with men who aren’t your dad, and grabbing power ups like soap or razors. With a variety of modes and dads, it is exactly the nightmare fuel we all need. Polygon got to play the game and made this hilarious video:
Loading screens include dad jokes? What more could you ask for?
I know games like are pure WTF, but they sort of make me happy about the games industry. The fact that a game like this could get Greenlight support and then launch for less than $1 sort of makes me laugh. I can imagine plenty of people picking it up and getting a few minutes of entertainment out of it. There are even achievements to unlock, which would trigger my shower-based OCD. At least now we have representation for mustached kids who still shower with their dads. Tick that demographic box thanks to bizarre indie gaming.
