Sony’s Rob Dyer has been chatting to industry gamers about all things PSP and has specifically mentioned that price point of the PSPGo.. you know the one I am talking about? The idiotically high price for something that accomplishes less than a standard PSP and doesn’t have Blu-Ray as a trumpcard.
Well it seems that Sony has realised the errors of it’s way by stating
“Yeah, I think the higher price point didn’t help matters any eitherâ€
But then he goes onto say
“So we’re going back and re-communicating, and I’m sitting here looking at multiple decks on what we’re going to do this year. You’ll see a lot of things coming out from us to better educate and inform the consumerâ€
Um, we don’t want to be educated about why it costs so much, we want a massive price cut and a UMD-PSPGo transformer. I realise it defeats the point of the PSPGo as people will then just transform their pirated copies but us legit gamers don’t really want to throw out our UMD Collections.

I hope he educates me on what is so great about the PSP go, I’m dying to hear.

He’ll probably say with the UMD removed it prolongs battery life and has a built in 16GB internal… not to mention a new sleek look… And the best of all… And the best of all… is um… It is exactly the same ass all the previous PSP versions

Give me a way to get the games I have on UMD onto the device, be it at a small “service fee” or whatever and I’ll consider getting one.
