Sony have released some new developer tools to North America and PAL territories and at the same time have included two of the best words in the English language… Cheaper and Better.
That’s right Sony have recently improved the development toolkits and have dropped the price down to a mightily respectable $2000.
This is not only good news for prospective developers out there but also great news for all PS3 owners and owners to be as we can now expect more developers to jump into the action.
Sony are also unleashing the new PhyreEngine onto developers this month which is some sort of physics engine and that is about as far as my knowledge takes me… more ragdolls and grass to come I presume?

Wow thats really ‘cheap’ now. I’m sure they used to be $10000… and with the havok engine being avaliable to the developers for free (i think) thats great for news indie developers!
