Namco-Bandai’s Level Up event this week is pouring out some really interesting announcements, the most exciting of which has to be the announcement of Soul Calibur 5. They also announced the release date and we have some shaky cam footage of the trailer that was shown.

Check it out after the jump.

The release of Soul Calibur 5 has been set for 2012, with no specifics given on what time of year we are looking at, but still, the way time flies you will be slicing and dicing in no time. Here’s the trailer that was shown, it’s a bit rough, but have a look.

We can obviously expect it to release for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, but let’s also not forget that new Nintendo console that is going to be announced, so I would probably expect it to be announced for “Project Cafe” as well. If it isn’t I will surely be surprised, again, it all depends on release dates.
