Square show off what was thought to be a dead game, Final Fantasy Versus XIII (now supposedly known as Final Fantasy XV). This game was first shown a good few years ago. I’m happy to report that it is not dead, and it looks alive and well. Kingdom Hearts 3 is also announced, much to the delight of gamers worldwide.

Many gamers have a fond thought for the Final Fantasy name. Granted its not everybody, but many people are willing to brush aside Final Fantasy XIII and associate the franchise with the gems from previous generations. When I saw this game revealed a few years ago, I was downright excited for it (more than I was for FF XIII). Imagine my excitement now when Square Enix unveiled a brand new trailer showing a bit more about the characters and world that is too be experienced. If I’m not mistaken, part of the trailer did feature some gameplay, but I’ll leave that for you to decide. Lets hope this game won’t burn out and be the Final Fantasy that restores the name to its former goodness.

Kingdom Hearts three also makes an appearance, and I can only imagine how excited some people will be to hear this news. I myself missed the first few games (having no PS2), but I look forward to this nonetheless! Hopefully those HD remakes of the originals are not too far off.

Finally, Final Fantasy XIV is announced to be an exclusive on Playstation 3 as well as 4. Will it be the MMO that the fans wish for? We will find out soon enough.

Square Enix is looking good so far, and I can only hope that all three of these games ensure that we will have many more games from them in the years to come!
