EA and DICE are making it clear that they’ve learnt a lot from their first foray into Star Wars Battlefront. To combat criticism of a lack of content and segmented player bases thanks to DLC, the sequel has already been announced with a full on canonical single-player story and a lack of a season pass. There’s more being put into the vanilla package this time, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still some content being made exclusive for those willing to shell out more for the Deluxe Edition. Content, it seems, that all players will eventually be able to unlock.
At least that’s the sentiment being expressed by Christian Johannesén, one of the game designers on Battlefront II. Responding to fan questions on Twitter, Johannesén confirmed that some (not all) of the exclusive content present in the Deluxe Edition will be available to all players to unlock through traditional play.
@mauriciot04 Can be unlocked by playing.

Associate Design Director Dennis Brännvall was also active, confirming details around how weapon reloads worked (and in some cases, don’t exist), while also confirming that Battlefront II will use dedicated servers, just like the first title.
@EnSh93 Both, kind off. We're doing some improvements and we'll have more details later.

With Battlefront II comes some drastic gameplay improvement, such as the long-awaited addition of space battles. This, unsurprisingly, gave new hope to the inclusion of Galactic Conquest – a turn-based meta-game that help contextualise your war efforts in older Battlefront titles. Sadly, it doesn’t seem that’s on the drawing board for this sequel.
@AngryJoeShow Were currently not confirming any other details.

Player classes are also a new addition, replacing the a la carte Star Card method from the first game. Instead of letting players essentially build classes with loadout choices, Battlefront II will instead adopt a more Battlefield approach and offer stricter definitions between player roles in battle. It should change the flow of gameplay quite a bit.
@Max_B_sithjedi it's not the same freedom, but you can definitely customise your trooper class quite drastically to suit your playstyle

There’s a lot of Battlefront II news trickling out of the cracks as eager developers share as much as they can about the recently revealed project. We’re bound to hear (and see) a lot more at E3 in a few weeks.

So no season pass and no need to pay more for deluxe content. It’s almost as though they knew people were not going to pre order after their last cash grab attempt.

Yea. Not working. Still won’t pay more than R100 for it.

All this could very well just be fluff.
Last minute changes when?

My thoughts exactly. What they say now and what comes out later could be way different.
