SC2 Heart of the Swarm

Oh the things I could do with R35 000. I could buy all the new consoles coming out and maybe that GTX TITAN and possibly have some change to spare for a game or two. Too bad I don’t have a clue how to play StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. For those of you who do, you could stand a chance at winning some of that prize pool, which will be awarded to players at the StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Invitational happening this March. All you have to do is enter the Wild Card Qualifier this weekend!

The qualifier will be hosted by Polarfluke for the Invitational hosted by Megarom and Internet Solutions. This won’t be some Mickey Mouse tournament either. The event will be held at The Forums 500 seater Auditorium at The Campus in Johannesburg where there will be a featured match between some StarCraft 2 celebrities. I’m sure you all know by now that Robert “PandaTank” Botha and Fnatic player Silviu “NightEnD” Lazar will be playing against each other that day.

Getting back to the qualifier this weekend, here is everything you need to know!

Date: 2 march 2013

Time: 14:00 (GMT +2)

Server: European Battle.net Server

Registration: Polarfluke

Registration Closing: 13:45 (GMT +2), 2 March

Rules: Polarfluke

Eligibility: Gamers who wish to enter are required to have a legal version of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and be able to play in the Invitational on the day of the tournament. Gamers who’ve already been invited to the Invitational are not allowed to enter the wildcard qualifier.

If you’d like to be one of the spectators at the event, you can head on over to this link to register. We’ve also started publishing some of the player profiles; check out Robert “PandaTank” Botha’s profile here.

Blizzard also revealed an amazing trailer for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm trailer yesterday, here’s the Vengeance Trailer that’ll give most gamers goosebumps!

Possible, but they like to cash in. I mean, they’re splitting SC2 (1 game) into 3 separate titles and asking full price for each of them. They could have simply called Heart of the Swarm, SC3. Let’s not even mention the insane amount of money that lemmings pay for that repetitive grind fest that is WoW. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4jldcSYOV1qkqwol.gif

And let’s not forget the inevitable micro-transactions.
