A post by MooDy on the 360 forums, highlighting Ster Kinekor’s new pricing, has some interesting implications. SK’s pricing on its AAA titles has reverted to being sane, down from their ludicrous pre-Christmas highs.
While it could be a crazy random happenstance, it seems recent events may have allowed the distributor to realise that ripping off your customer base does little to endear yourself. Whatever the cause, it is refreshing to see a company not fall back on the clichéd Rand/Dollar excuse, and actually lower pricing.
This leaves just one major South African game distributor with preposterous retail pricing. Here’s looking at you, MI.
(PS : Those of you holding off purchasing LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2, go get them now, they’re grrrrrrrreat!)

Finally, was wondering when SK would get on the correct bandwagon, now we just wait for MiD to actually do the right thing.

You now I was expecting a lot more positive comments for SK on this one… they have had a bad reputation about pricing before and this could be the start of something beautiful
