Super Stardust co-op removed from PSN?

Sony seem to be struggling today…

The problems around the 2.40 download are now well known but it seems like there are a few other problems at the same time.

One of the rumours doing the rounds is that the co-op options of Super Stardust have been removed. While the single player is still there.

I wonder if they have removed it to take some pressure of the network while they handle the 2.40 demand?

I smell BS, reporting on a post by some random dude on a forum thread that has had 4 replies in 3-4 hours with no proof whatsoever…

Hows the bash sony bandwagon going? this is silly…

I take it you both missed the rumour word…

Nothing substantiated yet.. just a rumour…

There is also a rumour going around that PSN was hacked, the official PS3 blog site has a virus and others… I just thought I would offer something different.

But come on dude, report on the ps3blog virus rather, it actually has some form of “source” but this was just plainly stupid.

This is something so arb and small it seems like you went looking for something extra to add whole 2.40 problem

You are pretty far gone if you seriously believe this could even be considered a rumour

Rumour: A nonvalidated report that is circulated.

Honestly if I wanted to have a go at the PS3 do you not think I could have made a biggest stink about the rumours that 2.40 is bricking PS3’s?

You are just going to have to accept that sometimes the PS3 will be reported on in a bad light.

It seems that the co-op version has been removed from certain servers as some people are still experiencing it.

I have no problem with PS3 and its negative light and whatnot, I havent been bothered by other negative articles on this site except for maybe a little too much hammering on the install thing… that is because they are usually true or have atleast a reasonably believable source.

Hey maybe you are even right about this, but with the source given and even considering it a rumour from that alone is beyond silly and nothing more than a “polite” stir of atmosphere that FW2.40 has created.

Even rumours should be “managed” I pretty sure random people on forums across the world would be able to give allot of “interisting” rumours.

But alas, this is your site report on what you will.

Let’s say they are having a few network problems and decided to remove this co-op for a period of time until they sort it out, and lets sommer say it has something to do with network load caused by 2.4. What the hell is the big issue anyway? What is so negative about it? I’m sorry Lazy, but you wanted to take a jab at the 2.4 issues with this one. I’ve no problem with it. But rather come out and say it as it is.

Yeah I spent the whole day thinking about how I could take a jab at the 2.4 issues by not mentioning them….

It’s a rumour, most rumours end up to be false… it’s not even a bad thing really… Why so defensive over this?

if I could just get as much passion from you in the feature articles 😛

I’m not defending. I’m just really struggling to see how this is news worthy. Whether it be rumour or fact. I don’t see it. Anyhow, I’ll sure drop you a email next time a Warhawk server crashes or next time a WoW server crashes so you can post it here too.

Ai, I really struggle to see why people get so worked up over the smallest sh*t sometimes. It’s just an article. Use it, don’t use it. Whatever. Go home, try it out if you want. If it still works…hey!…good for you.
Just don’t take everything so seriously 😕

I dont get how people can percieve every online discussion as getting “worked up” or “Defensive”.

No one is mad or angry or worked up. Someone is sitting bored at home or work, reads something they agree or dissagree with on a blog and replies with his opinion. From there it could lead to further discussion or die down.

I’ll just sum this up for slippy. Sorry I’m bored. The question is not whether is was rumour or fact but here goes,

Sony releases 2.4… with trophy support, yes trophy support.

12 hours later, it’s pulled for whatever reason. Massive shit storm breaks out over the internetz because 1 out of a 10000 people experienced system hangs (not bricking btw). So we all live with the fact that 2.4 and trophies (yes trophies) are gone till all is sorted out.

Now 2.4 supported trophies. Yes trophies. 2.4 were pulled, so no more trophies for now for now, k? We were all happy, everyone’s diapers have been successfully changed.

Hours later another shit storm hits the internetz blogs that a co-op patch for SSHD which were designed to support trophies, yes trophies, were still available but you won’t have access to trophies unless you already have 2.4 installed. Are you shitting me, are you serious… how the hell could they do this, it just doesn’t make any sense!!??

Shoe! I got the point PaasHaas. Reporting on a form post ;). The 2.40 issue clearly got to you. Just take a couple of deep breaths and count to 10 (maybe 20) and move on.

Maybe people perceive it like that, because of the way
certain people write their comments. Sometimes it just comes across as one big pissing contest.
