Superpowered Saints Row headlines this Humble Bundle

The Humble Bundles have been exceptional lately, offering a good mix of AAA and indie titles for a fraction of their combined cost. You could almost say that offerings like PS Plus and Games with Gold could learn a thing or two, and the latest bundle doesn’t change this one bit.

Headlining the latest Humble Jumbo Bundle is Saints Row IV. It’s the one sequel I haven’t played yet, but the idea of Saints Row AND superpowers does excite me. It’s the premium part of the bundle, asking you to fork out no less than $12 for the lot.

If that’s too pricey then there’s still loads on offer for the average price. You’ll bag Grid 2, Blackguards and my personal favorite, Euro Truck Simulator 2. I tell you, dealing with French border patrol while driving a suspiciously massive vehicle is exhilarating. The average price is sitting at $5.86 at the moment, and includes the dirt cheap titles too.

They’re the ones you can literally pay anything for, despite the fact that they’re al pretty great. Insurgency is perfect if you love Counter-Strike, since it’s essentially the same thing. Always Sometimes Monsters is a quick, and extremely challenging indie game and while I don’t know much about Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure I have been told it’s pretty great.

There are also more games on their way, as is usual with these Humble Bundles. Personally, I think there’s a lot of quality on offer here for a fraction of the price, especially if you’ve never played Saints Row IV or Grid 2. Or Euro Truck Simulator, obviously.

  1. It looks rather appealing, but over $10? NAHP! Skipping this one. I have been skipping a lot of Humble Bundles lately actually…

Actually don’t own it yet… I find the game to be too jokey and then I get bored of the non-realism =/ Might pick it up for under $5 I think.

I normally go with that. Even the HB have like one game I want to get normally, but I am making a mission of saving atm. No money spent on anything really.

Screw that. The first rule of Steam Account ownership is that the more games on your list the more your peers will respect you!

So, In theory, If I have 113 Games, how respected Am I? (note I have acquired such over the course of little over a year)

          • Kromas, Guardian of Cenarius

            November 12, 2014 at 15:39

113 would be Padawan in Jedi nomenclature. Respectable people have over 900!.

That being said 113 is respectable. 🙂

            November 12, 2014 at 15:40

900?! But if you have a girlfriend or wife, surely you get some slack.

HAHA, my competion rate is higher, I think I’ve finished about 90 of the games I own. Mostly Indies in my “not yet completed” log.

          • Kromas, Guardian of Cenarius

            November 12, 2014 at 15:46

Well I got 1 perfect game. No idea what it is but it is perfect.

lol, I have one of those too, Thomas Was Alone.

          • Kromas, Guardian of Cenarius

            November 12, 2014 at 15:54

Also the completion rate is quite off.It does not count the old games I bought just because of convenience. Like pretty much every game before steam. I finished Kotor 2 like 6 times before I bought it on steam.

Oh and most of my games are simulation type games. DayZ and Kerbal will never finish. 🙁

          • Viking Of Divinity

            November 12, 2014 at 15:56

Yeah, I get that, same here, my Steam doesn’t count the games I finished pre-steam Hell, because I was playing offline, my Skyrim has a game time counter of only a few hours, but I’m only missing 10 achievements….

          • Kromas, Guardian of Cenarius

            November 12, 2014 at 16:03

Confession time! I never finished Skyrim. I have this bad habit of completely losing interest in a game if it corrupts my saves 30 hours in. Same thing happened to Fallout :New Vegas.

            November 12, 2014 at 16:11

I’m pushing 190 now myself. But I’ve played a decent amount of them. Most actually. (I’m obsessive when it comes to my backlog).

            November 12, 2014 at 16:22

I have a finite amount of time. Anything open world-y or MMO-y or Simulator-y eats that time like you would not believe. I am already juggling WoW with DA:I and thats gonna screw with my sleep I can bet you that.

          • Captain JJ the valiant

            November 12, 2014 at 16:33

I stopped supporting Codemasters after GRID 2. But GFWL is really killing games for me still. Bought Mortal Kombat arcade pack the other day. Took me half an hour to GFWL to work.

Ouch, as much as you can use xliveless with GTA IV and fallout, It honestly needed to be removed completely but sadly nope.

Grid Autosport was okay but honestly DLC has become their new thing and I fear Telltale is going same direction with the Lego games

I don’t mind DLC but only if it expands the game like Bordelands, Fallout, TES ,Sleeping Dogs etc but yeah throwing in a reused track and a few cars does not warrant $10+

          • Captain JJ the valiant

            November 12, 2014 at 15:09

Yes. Agreed. Fallout and TES DLC were all completely worth it.

            November 12, 2014 at 15:15

They are extremely worth it when you wait a whole year for the complete edition since Bethesda loves to make you re purchase the GOTY in order to save a few bucks
