Five Nights at Freddy's World

Initially, Scott Cawthon announced that his next title, Five Nights at Freddy’s World, would be releasing next month, on February 19th. Well, looks like he just couldn’t wait until then, because he’s gone and released it today instead.

This sort of thing is very typical of Scott. The same shenanigans happened with Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, which he claimed would be out on August 8th, but ended up releasing two weeks earlier, on July 24th. What a troll!

Anyways, those expecting a new horror title from the mastermind of jump scares may be sorely disappointed. Five Nights at Freddy’s World appears to be nothing more than a RPG (praise Gaben). Here’s the premise and trailer…

Featuring the entire cast from the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, this fantasy RPG will let players control their favourite animatronics in a an epic animated adventure! With 40 playable characters, multiple endings, multiple difficulties, and a great soundtrack from artist Leon Riskin, FNaF World hits the ground running and doesn’t stop.

Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the “flipside”, where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be- a safe haven.

But be careful, behind the curtain there may be something even more sinister pulling the strings…

Five Nights at Freddy’s World looks innocent and cute, right? WRONG! I really do think Scott has some giant jump scare in-store. Just take a look at that last line of the premise again.

But be careful, behind the curtain there may be something even more sinister pulling the strings…

It’s you, isn’t it Scott? YOU’RE THE ONE PULLING THE STRINGS, AREN’T YOU? I won’t be fooled, nope!
