Take a shinier look at DmC: Definitive Edition’s new polish

DmC-polish

There’s a new version of the 2013 action masterpiece DmC: Devil May Cry coming out on console, which features all kinds of polish and rather terrific new visuals. Or to be more precise, PC graphics on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Still, I’m kind of impressed with what Ninja Theory has cooked up.

Announced last year, DmC: Definitive Edition packs in the original game, all the DLC and a ton of new modes running at that sweet spot of 60 fps and at 1080 of your favourite peas. It’s a download only game, at a rather high price as the PC gamers are keen to tell you. And I kind of agree with them.

I am however, completely blinded by my unabashedly biased love for the game, and not even an entire warehouse of Dante fobbing off a silver wig can convince me to not love the work that Ninja Theory produced a couple of years back. It’s out in March. And a little later in the year, so is a remaster of Devil May Cry 4. I NEED MORE REMASTER POWER

  1. Nothing polishes a shoe like a bit of Nugget then some spit and some stockings to give it that extra shine…. I wonder if it works on games as well?

Seriously! ….. Remaster games older than 2 years please! I would kill for a remaster of say Anacronox or maybe B:G&E or hell even HL (still waiting on you to finish Black Mesa Project dammit!)

      Doom 2. ‘Nuff said.

Oh and I suppose we can lump SW:KOTOR in there as well. Imagine that with DA:I visuals, and the engines available to us today!

Couldn’t agree with you more but I have a massive list of “Games that deserve an HD remake”

Vampire (both of them) for instance.

Fanboyism aside, DmC was good…There I said it! Though, I’m really interested to see Vergil in action

I’ll give the sequel a chance. If Capcom has the cash to make more games.

Megaman would be a bad Idea cause it will have to compete against Mighty nr 9

made by the creator of Megaman lol, it would be. We laugh though, but the power of Megaman’s name is powerful

They claimed it was getting old and Dante was no longer cool…I mean, this Dante is years better with his emo attitude, foul mouth, dick sizing, insecurities…..Oh wait….Maybe not. Old Dante just liked pizza

“There’s a new version of the 2013 action masterpiece DmC: Devil May Cry…”
Yeah naw – stopped caring about your opinion there Im afraid.

The game bombed and was a middle finger to the fan base. Fans complained about legitimate problems, but NT (and journalists) just went “LOL your only upset because of the hair”. Surprise surprise – NOW they include all those features fans said were needed way before the initial game released. Hell the entire trailer for this version is “LOOK GUYS WE FIXED EVERYTHING NOW WE EVEN INCLUDED WHITE HAIR DANTE – EVEN THOUGH WE SAID WE DIDNT CARE IN THE BEGINNING.”

Capcom had to lower the sales expectancy TWICE for this game so bad it was selling. The only reason why they are releasing this edition is to recoup some of the money, too bad though – fan reaction shows people are way more interested in DMC4:SE.
