Take to the field with these new Rugby Challenge 2 videos

Rugby sure has gotten technical lately

I may not know much about sports, but when it comes to rugby, I know even less. What I do know though, is that it’s a sport that is similar to American football, except it’s played by men. Now while I get the stuffing beaten out of me by some ‘ard football fans in adorable padding, you can enjoy the following videos for next week’s release of Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition. REGBY!

Courtesy of VG247, the following videos showcase all the converted homeruns, seven-ten splits and penalty shootouts that you’re looking forward to. Probably.

Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition, is out on June 14 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. And if you want to play as the local manne, in this game, remember that the SA side and various others are unlicensed.

Which means that you’ll be taking to the field with such iconic players such as Bjork Basin, 360 Flip van der Massive, Tender Matata and Adrian Stresstest.

  1. For a rugby game looks good, but…. I dont watch rugby or cricket…. Prefer motor sports and extreme sports. and watch occasional football. Still indeed looks like they put alot of work into this.

As long as it’s modable like the previous games. The local teams will appear soon enough for PC users. They even have the real original names in the games, so when the names are switched, they’re still used

Come on!!! This game is awesome!! And don’t stress about the licences, this game has the best edit function of all games!! You can change all the players’ details and even their attributes!! The first one was good but Sidhe listened to their customers(yeah I know, but they really did) and they changed quite a bit of it!! They even said that they didn’t tinker with the graphics so much as with the way the game plays… How cool is that????

Oh and don’t worry about how your players surname will be pronounced, the game has all the correct surnames on it, you just need to edit your players name and surname and pick it from a list and he will be called on his real surname in the game!!

WAVE YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!!! for forking out on that Arcade library and 30 xbox360 games that can not get carried over to the ONE CONSOLE THAT DOES ALL.

Wave your hands in the air for being forced to buy a new controller because the 360 does not fit into the ONE CONSOLE THAT DOES IT ALL.

Wave your hands in the air because you are forced to only have ONE PROFILE to rule them all. Not SECOND HAND but ONE HAND to rule them all.

I got the last version. I was disappointed with the gameplay mechanics. It seemed like a Rugby League game ported to be Rugby Union (apparently their league game is quite a hit down under). The changes they claim to have made would solve a lot of my issues with the last game. Maybe I’ll wait for the reviews though. I would love a proper career mode type thing (as in all the sports games I use to play).

Wow, that first try was just ridiculous! Passing from the ground that far? Seriously?

Wow those players can pass the ball far without effort! Ball drops to ground after a maul? Defence not even trying to counter the maul? Will wait for the final product before totally slating it…

Still don’t know why they went head-to-head with the World Cup game if they didn’t have the licences. That game probably got half of their sales by just promoting the World Cup. Add to that, the game looks exactly like the first game. The new additions should have been an update!
But they should have waited. I think most fans would prefer to play the original Jonah Lomu Rugby with HD graphics!
