Dead or Alive is known primarily for its voluptuous, overly fantasized female characters, sometimes more so than the games actual fighting. There’s always something about Team Ninja’s new technology to make jiggly bits even bouncier than ever, but apparently they’re the only ones allowed to be naughty. That’s why they’re warning modders to stay away from the PC version of Dead of Alive 5.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be a debut for the series on PC, giving modders unchallenged access to the games files and physics systems. It’s probably going to end up just as bad as you’d expect, and game director Yohei Shimbori is frightened by the prospect. In fact, he’s warned the community to keep it clean, otherwise it’ll be the last Team Ninja game on PC.
“We have to deal with mod issues from an IP holder perspective. We would like to ask PC users to play our game in good moral and manner. Otherwise, we won’t be able to release a title for PC again.”
Modders can potentially change any part of the game they wish, but even Shimbori knows where they’ll probably focus their efforts. Although not explicitly stating it, he does try to protect his characters by labelling them as sweet, light-hearted fantasy design, which shouldn’t be messed with.
“Our characters, male and female alike, are created in a fantasy setting and are using extraordinary abilities to compete with each other in a clearly light-hearted, over-the-top universe. Their abilities are very balanced and we want to present all of them as dynamic, strong, sexy and confident.”
It’s rather hilarious to see Team Ninja sweating so much over features that they’ve been consistently slammed for in the past, in an almost ironic twist of fate. I have no doubt that this call for decency will only spur modders on to create wildly ridiculous females character designs – although that’s certainly not helping the issue at all.
It could, however, get Team Ninja to think twice about focusing so hard on the bounciness of breasts in any of their future titles. Or they’ll just continue their “fantasised” ways and never release on PC again.

There’s plenty of forcefield spells and even a few kinetic redirection spells and of course the infamous Iron Maiden spell which causes any and all harm the caster suffers to be instead dealt to the attacker.

I forsee a mod that puts more clothes on the characters and reduces the jiggle and then someone *cough*Team Ninja*cough* accusing the modders of being immoral.
I also forsee the exact opposite mod being made and other people *cough*Team Ninja*cough* also saying that it is immoral, albeit for a different reason.
Either way it’s not going to be released on PC again.

PC modding is about letting your mind free. Amazing things are created by modders. And now Team Ninja wants to threaten PC modders. Team Ninja is bringing DRM and DLC to the PC market and they still have the fucking nerve to threaten PC modders. Yes there will be perverted mods but there will also be a lot of good mods. If they haven’t realized it yet, their PC game sells went up for those who wanted to mod it. Yes you still have those who haven’t mod their game. But for the ones that wanted to mod it. They still got the game, and they still made money off the sell of the game. Even with Steam, where you can buy additional DLC on it. But if they want to see digital boobies. Who am I to argue with them on it. Nearly ever single game you can mod it when installed on the PC. They should be glad that they are making more money and sells. Now if they can drop the price for their DLC for extra clothing options to a more of a reasonable price. Then they will have more money coming in. But until then, if someone wants to see digital boobies, who are we to care or argue about it.
