Damned

Two of Japan’s most illustrious video game developers have teamed up to do a project for EA – and we finally know what that game is called. The anticipated collaboration between No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda and Resident Evil progenitor Shinji Mikami is called Shadow of the DAMNED (their emphasis).

The game sees bike-riding demon-hunter Garcia roadtripping through hell to save Paula, and has a very Rock ‘n Roll aesthetic. According to Mikami it’s a “psychological action thriller,” with a “punk-rock style”. Mikami’s confirmed that the game will have somewhat light, pithy moments – but will be intense despite those. Suda, not mincing words, calls it “the best game he’s worked on.”

Stylistically, it reminds me a heck of a lot of “From Dusk till Dawn” and it looks like a whole lotta stupid fun. Game will be out on PS3 and Xbox 360 next year. Trailer after the jump.
