The Humble Bundles are evil things. Evil, backlog clogging, wallet destroying, nasty little things. There’s very little to hate about them, other than the fact that you’re enticed to buy even more games that you might never get to. But who am I kidding – even I can’t stop supporting them, and there’s no way I’m saying no to it now that Star Wars has joined the fray.
In what has to be one of the best deals in recent memory comes the Star Wars Humble Bundle, which has nine games (and more to come) for the low, low price of $12. In fact, it’s probably going to cost you just slightly, slightly less, because two out of the three games at the top tier aren’t really must plays. The others though? Well, if you haven’t played most of them by now you should put them at the top of your to do list.
Paying what ever you want will snag you these three titles:
- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Was Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars Dark: Forces
Paying above the current average of just over $11 will add on these three:
- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: Sith Lords
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- Star Wars Republic Commando
And paying the full $12 will round everything off with more modern Star Wars entries:
- Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition
- Star Was The Force Unleashed II
- Star Wars Empire at War: Gold Pack
Personally, the bundle is worth it alone for the two Knights of the Old Republic titles, with the first being one of my favourite RPGs of all time. You’d also be a fool to brush over the exceptional Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy title (Though Jedi Knight 2 is missing , perhaps to be added later) as well as Republic Commando, which is a surprisingly tight tactical Clone Trooper shooter. You’ve also got a heavy dose of nostalgia with Dark Forces, as well as a reminder as to why the entire gaming community is praying that DICE don’t screw up Battlefront 3.
The best part though? There’s still more on the way, which could mean Jedi Outcast, Dark Forces II and maybe even some X-Wing titles thrown into the mix. It’s one of the best prices you’re going to find for a Star Wars collection this big, so follow my example and don’t hesitate. Also, if you already own some of the games, be sure to spread the key code love.

The Humble page couldn’t open fast enough this morning for me to buy it. Quite curious about the other games to be added. I see Galactic Battlegrounds is on GOG, but it’s probably too much to ask for to get that one on Steam.

my bank account wasnt even awake yet when i bought this >.< the worst of this bundle is battlefront 2 but there are actually alot of good mods for the game to make it alot better 🙂

February 4, 2015 at 09:25
Agreed.
I don’t think the LEGO games will be added though, I think it’s a bit difficult since it’s technically a LEGO product with a Star Wars license. Not the other way around. I just want Pod Racer and Galactic Battlegrounds.

It’s always interested me, but it’s usually got pretty negative reviews so I’ve never bothered when it’s on special. Maybe now’s a good time.
Captain JJ the crafter
February 4, 2015 at 08:03
It’s good enough for this price. Using the force to throw things and people around is great fun. One or two moments are a bit frustrating because of the bad controls, but otherwise I really like it. Good story too.

Controls are fine on console/gamepad. ;P
Captain JJ the crafter
February 4, 2015 at 08:15
I’ve noticed it now with my Xbox controller plugged in. Much easier, but it still likes to snap to things that I don’t want it to (I’m used to free will with my controls ;P)
Some games are actually just really great fun with a controller, even on pc (don’t let Trevor see me write that).
Blood Emperor Trevor

Sometimes I don’t need to see. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

get them.
theyr not as bad as the reviews say.
if you have a controller, even the controls are fine.
if anything, the lightsabre fights alone are worth 12$
Captain JJ the crafter
February 4, 2015 at 10:04
Even with a controller (although much better) I still found the controls bad. It just feels a bit unpolished and temperamental. But those lightsabre fights are great.

Titan Quest is better. TL2 isn’t bad, but I preferred Diablo 3 (And got more way more game time from it) and Titan Quest still sucks my time.
So eh, to each his own.
Ghost In The Rift
February 4, 2015 at 08:45
The reason why i don’t play Diablo 3 is cuz of the always online DRM, not my way of a fun time, i really want to play the game but maybe in the near future, but let me try Titan Quest.

Also, the story is one of my favourite SW stories!

it wasnt bad, nothing particularly compelling about it, pretty standard star wars story.
what it came down to mostly though, was that it wasnt memorable, if i think REALLY hard, i could come up with a few bits and pieces, but i really dont remember that many of the details like i do other games.
