Truth

It’s a new month chaps. And let’s face facts, while we could use this as opportunity to do things differently, we couldn’t be arsed enough to do so. We like things the way they are, and that goes double for the Friday wrap-up. Categories…HOOOOOOO!

Best Story

You know, I honestly don’t care that the latest Xbox Live Games for Gold title happens to predate the bible. Crackdown is still one of the best sandbox games ever made. And even though I own it, I’m planning to download the free copy anyway. Get those orbs, agent!

Worst Story

You’d think Phil Fish getting into a huff and taking Fez 2 away from all us filthy gamers would be the worst story this week, but frankly, the continuing shambling mess that is the MSSA clearly deserves that dubious distinction this week.

SA has some skilled gamers, and companies that are more than willing to support them, and if our local governing body could one day get with the program and join the world of today, those gamers could be a force to be reckoned with.

Best ION header

Ashlee-Lynn

Between some photoshopped beauties and a lady who really, really needs to eat some more food, Ashlee Lynn was the clear winner for ION lady of the week.

Most Comments

Gavin takes the cake this week. Also, he got most comments, and now I have no cake to gorge myself on this weekend. Dammit. DOTA isn’t a game for everyone. Especially when that crowd happens to be abusive towards newcomers, as the big G himself experienced. And in one story in which he detailed his gaming experience with that title, he got 204 comments worth of feedback.

Least Comments

Well Zoe, it looks like nobody, and I mean nobody, cared about your Disney story from yesterday. Zero comments. Zip! Zilch! Nada! Oooh, that’s going to leave a bruise.

Batman Of The Week

tumblr_m3rsqkmi2b1qjhxuro1_500

I grabbed Batman of the week, and just barely I might add. The Geoffidler almost foiled in my scheme to reach the top, but thanks to the fact that I’m now getting hate-mail from 4Chan, I was victorious in the end. Bat-Darryn Forever! Edit: Geoff just beat me. By lots. I hate him and his smug face so much right now. [Geoff’s note : HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sucker thought he had it in the bag, but I bested him with my general all-round awesomeness. And innate ability to make typos.]

Get it? Because it’s like a dog, who thinks he’s a ghost? HA! I am a winner!

Comment Of The Week

Well done Trevor Davies. You tickled our funny bones this week with the right comment. Sorry about the mess:

“I’m still not convinced Don Mattrick can turn this around” – are you sure? He’s been doing about-turns quite… smartly.

Don’t worry, I threw some dog biscuits at Geoff and he fixed it. Such a good boy.

Funnily enough I enjoy reading ones like that. It’s interesting to see what various publishers say about the games industry.

Gets my vote for story of the week, but I think the Lazygamer crew is being modest.

I wouldn’t blame Gavin if he makes is facebook status “So Colin in how many international game trailers have you been featured …… sucka!!!”
