The Holy Trinity of Hollywood and Gaming Heavyweights

Jerry Bruckheimer, one of Hollywood’s biggest names in producing has not only launched his own game studio but now snatched up two major names in gaming, Jim Veevaert and Jay Cohen.

With over thirty years of experience in gaming between the two and array of blockbuster titles such as Halo 3, Gears of War, Rainbow Six, Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed and Half-Life (to name a few), the two have proven themselves to be comparable veterans to Bruckheimer in their respected industry.

Thus its one isn’t left scratching his/her head to understand why Bruckheimer feels that with this cocktail of talent it won’t be hard to realize his ambitions in and for the gaming industry.

As he puts it,

“they have both demonstrated their unstoppable desire to advance their medium, which is exactly what we do with feature films and television. We are going to create content that challenges the way things are done and the experiences gamers have today”

Personally I feel that the fact that Bruckheimer has recruited these gaming goliaths could mean that this is not just another short-lived romantic interlude between the two-industries that prematurely ejaculate into a high-profit for some but major disappointment for consumers.

I just hope that in blending their talents together they don’t have to break too many eggs before finding that creative Midas touch with which to grab our attention by the short and curlies and satisfy a craving that we never knew we always had.

We’ll just have to wait and see what’s going to happen. Hopefully they do have the Midas touch.

    Well written.

A good read with a bit of bang thrown into the mix at the end.
