Sony are the last E3 conference for today. What do they have in-store? Shawn Layden has taken the stage to kick their show off. What is the first game he will unveil? Something new? Something we’ve known about for a long time, but that we all presumed dead perhaps?

Umar, you have stayed unbelievably strong, and your constant, unwavering devotion and belief has finally paid off. After 6 long years, we finally have proof that The Last Guardian is still very much alive, and it looks simply beautiful.

The gameplay unveiled at E3 shows more of the friendship between the mysterious boy and his giant, and unbelievably cute feathered dog… bird… thing. They rely on each other to navigate the game’s various puzzles. Past that, not much is known about the game.

Release date? Sometime in 2016 apparently. Sony fans around the world are rejoicing!

Absolutely incredible! Who knew developing 1 minute of gameplay per year would be acceptable?
